Design is a process. There is a
misconception that designers, especially graphic designers,
are responsible for applying a “look” to a
pre-existing idea. Not so. All of the work you will see
in our portfolio was designed following a process of discovery
(about the client, their industry and their market), strategy
and implementation. The resulting design, the end-product,
is the manifestation of this process and includes the
combined skills, thoughts and ideas of the designer(s),
the client(s) and various others involved in the process,
which may or may not include photographers, illustrators,
writers, etc.
This process, the understanding of how to effectively
communicate, imagination, and years of experience are
what separates a Designer from a desktop publisher or
a decorator. |
